Clay Track Classic
The Clay Track Classic was founded in 2019. It takes place on a private course, Trinity Links in Lockport, IL. Why do we call it the Clay Track Classic? This is by far Sean Callahan’s favorite named event in the Greater Joliet Tour Series. Trinity is everybody’s favorite ‘homie’ course and Clay Track is in reference to before it was a disc golf course, it was an old biker club.
To the left side of hole 10 is a tree line, on the right side of that its all open that’s 10’s fairway, on the left side of that, that’s where 12’s tee box is at - there was an old clay track that was a bike racing track there. When they created that course around 1997/1998, there were tires that they had to pull, old cars and some other very strange things.
